I thought it was a not bad effort TBF. Not like the real thing but better than most attempts.
As longs its cool or cold I quite like it. The low sugar is ok to . And it seems to sell quite well
How much is it?
Aldi do a version too, quite possibly the same product in a different outfit. I didn’t think it was too bad. Not the real deal but drinkable for the price.
Nae wonder, you’ve left it on the radiator
After many horrible glasses of the cheap stuff in Indian and Chinese restaurants I’m pretty sceptical of anything not made by Barr. Thankfully most restaurants also have the real stuff in cans these days rather than just draught.
The only acceptable knockoff ever has been highland brew and I still miss it to this day
It tastes just fine when mixed with vodka.
Reads like heartburn 😫
Neither is the real stuff.
I thought I literally just read that IRN BRU is spelled that way to get around some law from the 1940s about false advertising. Because, y’know, it doesn’t have iron and it’s not brewed. What’s Lidl doing with these, putting them on the hob and dunking in a bag of nails?
The fuck is that pish hahaha
That is surely a huge trademark violation.
I used to get it from Aldi whenever I was too skint to get the real stuff
This is the OG. They got the name right.
My kid called it temu irn bru, it’s rank
It’s only 26p (4.3p per tin) cheaper than Barr’s not enough of a price difference to ditch the real stuff for a inferior product imho.
I don’t care as long as it’s fizzy. With the new blue lids that stay attached my family seem quite unable to screw the lid on tight.
Scoffable made one that’s very close to the real thing.
How much is it? Can’t be that much cheaper than the real stuff. Don’t think I’ve paid more than £7 for a 24 case in the last few years.
While I do find this grossly offensive, the Aldi dupes are usually pretty good. The Lilt one is great.
Well it will taste shite if you’re storing it on the radiator.
That for me is a step too far. OK making your own version but the tendency of this organisation to reproduce original brands that makes you think it’s the real thing is deceitful and makes me question their ethos. 🤬
Not sure about their cans, but their 2L bottles are fine and less than half the price. Been drinking it for ages as wells their freeway cola.
I think it’s delicious. Irn Bru Xtra is pretty cool too. As with many drinks it’s tastier when it’s cold than at room temperature. Maybe you’re just not a fan of the flavour. Nothing wrong with that. But there’s a reason why it’s sold in most stores across the country and across the UK!

the mispelling is very important to the flavour
Lidl iron brew is absolutely fine for what it is tbh, probably not a better dupe irn bru out there.
Store it in a fridge, not on top of your storage heaters.
Odd stuff this. Had it in a bottle. Tastes like slightly watered down Tizer.
Hang on, weren’t Irn Bru forced to change their name from “Iron Brew” because there was no substantial amount of iron in the drink?
How come these can get away with it?
When you try and order IRN-BRU from wish.com
THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!!!

Budget Bru? 🤢
Rusty water? 😬
Funnily enough, the original name.
I quite like it. Nothing like the real thing but it’s ok.
I saw that yesterday. I was outraged, I was upset, I was infuriated, hurt and offended.
Unpopular opinion, it tastes better than the shite that Barr is peddling as standard Irn Bru. It’s not as good as 1901 though.
