In just three weeks, the Luxembourg Urban Garden (LUGA) will officially open its doors to visitors, providing a peaceful retreat in the city center along with workshops for all ages.
With flower and plant exhibitions all across Luxembourg City and Ettelbruck, LUGA offers an array of gardens and artistic creations people can marvel at for free.
At Fondation Pescatore, the exhibition is coming together slowly but surely. In collaboration with the Luxembourgish horticultural federation, the event organisers created a combination of various small installations, including a vegetable patch and an “art classroom”.
The working conditions have thus far been ideal and everything has been done according to plan. For horticultural installations, regulations need to be followed: the foundation must be stable, but it cannot go deeper than 25cm into the soil. The use of concrete as well as certified European wood is permitted.
In addition to the exhibition, the Luxembourg Urban Garden is hosting small events, including workshops for adults and children, conferences, and spectacles all under the motif of gardening. The gardens are an idyllic place to simply savour the ambience of nature in the midst of buzzing cities.
