I’ve been using a Crystal Skull Vodka bottle to collect 5ps for over a decade. Today I finally finished. How much do you think is in it?

  1. Not nearly as much as you’d want there to be

  2. I’ve got one of those crystal skull bottles setting in a cupboard. Never thought about putting anything in it though, will have to do some brainstorming

  3. Reminds me of the massive bottle of 2p’s my parents had been saving for years… ‘when it’s full it’s yours’

The time came last year, thought it would be a good amount… £18.

  4. There is an AI scanner program I used and the answer from mapping the bottle, the dimensions the coins sizes the answer it gave is ” Who Gives a Fuk “

  5. I believe they were crafted by the inhabitants of Atlantis and they’re powerful centres of healing.

  6. Fun fact. If you take the average of everyone’s guesses here it’s probably accurate (you might need to exclude the obvious sarcastic guesses).

  7. I collected about £40 in 5ps as a child. I kept them in a green bum bag. When I was a teenager I used them every week to buy my copy of NME from WHSmith from the same shop assistant. He stopped bothering to count them after the first few weeks. Sorry Chris

Anyway, I think you have about £20

  8. Not sure how much it is but this is a nice little home deco. Where did you get that vodka bottle?

  9. Remember Dan akroyd chose that design.. we should all thank him for his contribution. xD

  10. Volume of bottle = 700 cm³. Volume of 5p coin = 0.43448 cm³. Packing inefficiency ~0.7.

    (700 / 0.43448) * 0.7 = 1128

    1128 * 5 / 100 = £56.40

  11. If we guess correctly, do we get the skull and coins? 😁

  12. I did a similar thing as a youngster and in 2001 emptied it a bought my first ever electric guitar (squier strat) 😁

  13. I’ve got a pot my mum got me for my 21st for £2 coins. It’s supposed to hold £1k when full, then you have to smash it to get them out. I’m 32 now, and it’s not even half full…

    Anyway, I reckon you’ve got £30.

  14. Husband reckons £32. I have no clue, so I’ll go with that.

  15. We had a big plastic coke bottle into which three of us living in a flat together threw our change in to everyday for a year. We called it the coke fund. Free 8ball for Christmas!

  16. I used to fill 1L Bobmbay Saphire bottles with 5ps and that came to almost exactly £60. Used to be a good way to save for holiday spends but the last few years lack of spare change has left me at the half full mark for about 3years!
