  1. Be careful, you could make the same picture for Dutch:

Frankish -> Flemish Dutch -> Brabantian Dutch -> Lovecraftian horrors -> Hollandic Dutch.

  2. Dutch copium to not have the most ridiculous language in Europe

  3. Imagine having one language acquisition period and you spend it in the variety of English that took substantial Danish influence

Totally oneshotted, never had a chance

  4. While this is perfectly true, may I remind you that the d*tch language sounds like drunk Danes trying to speak German.

  5. Last time I checked our language came from whale noises, not from seal noises. How dare you?

And this hurts coming from Jan 🙁

  6. Next level in Dutch sophistication, this. They’ll soon be proper Germans

  7. Where’s the Jesus Spanish thing riding their backs?

  8. Caravan fee. All across Europe at every border. Caravan fee.

  9. If you’re gonna shit on us (in us?), at least find the effort to not switch up Old Norse and North Germanic like that. And while you’re at it, switch Swedish with Old East Norse.
    Seal noises are accurate👍

  10. The Nordics can make fun of Danish, because we know what they are trying to say if only they were capable of pronouncing consonants.

But you’re not allowed to make fun of the Danish if you’re not Nordic. Especially not the Dutch — you have a spoken language that is even worse than Danish. And even the Danes have a decent written language, unlike the Dutch.

  11. as a finn we say dutch is just person speaking norway but he has a hot potato in his mouth

  12. Remember, Queen Mary had to learn Danish from scratch.

I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy.

  13. Bro your language is just German spoken like Danish, you don’t have the cards swamp boy.
