If I need a piss as I’m passing I might be partial to stopping for a swatch.
As it should be
Just demolish it instead of letting all these smooth brains fly tip and set it on fire. Literally have the nicest country on earth and it’s filled with idiots who just want to menchie and make the place look like a fuckin dump.
It should be demolished and “rewilded” with nettles, cleanse the place
IIRC, there was no suggestion that Saville had abused children there. If there was, I’m sure the place would have been torched far sooner.
I feel it’d be better to just run a bulldozer through it and get rid of the whole thing than let it sit there like an ugly eyesore of a reminder of an ugly, blackhearted bastard.
It is not Jimmy Saville’s house, yes it was once owned by him.
It was also owned by Hamish Macinnes who was the founder of the mountain rescue.
The people that are vandalising this are absolute morons, the house has done nothing, it is just a fucking house.
I have also never heard any rumours about him abusing anyone at this house, he was very very rarely even there.
I really hope it’s demolished soon, it’s an absolute eyesore in a beautiful place and the rot is now spreading.
The plans I’ve seen for the site look quite nice, looks like the sooner they start it the better!
That’s Sir Jimmy Savile to you
I heard Prince Andrew was looking to buy it.
One time I was on the bus with a few pals of mine going up to Fort William to visit another pal. I was shattered so I fell asleep on bus. As we are driving through Glencoe, my friend wakes me up so I can see the sights. We ended up passing this decrepit ass house, so I turn to my pal who woke me up and say “You’re staying there tonight.” Didnae realise it was Jimmy’s house til a day later.
Doesn’t look in too bad a shape, jim’ll fix it!
Pretty much in keeping with the rest of the Glencoe area, rubbish everywhere along the A82.
Fitting.
Peoples obsession with this house baffles me. Its like people go up there just to vandalise a building rather than actually enjoy nature
But this wasn’t his house, he was hardly there. This is just stupid destruction for no reason.

How romantic…
Jimmy Savile invented the disco
Dear Jim,please can you fix it for me to drive a bulldozer and demolish this fucking eyesore.
Just drove past this earlier today and was curious why this one house was in ruin. Funny that its popped up first here. Read up on Jimmy, sounds like a real dirtbag
What was the point of the destruction, the building was just that, a [building.Now](http://building.Now) if they were to be doing the same destruction on that sadistic bastard I could understand it. Can’t anybody go past this cunt and remember that the home used to be Hamish MacInnes’s home for a lot longer, a man that did more for mountaineering in this country that anybody I can think of.
Don’t think he actually ‘did’ anything there-he was rarely there. Let’s celebrate instead a former owner -the Scottish climber and inventor Dr Hamish MacInnes. Dr MacInnes, who died in 2020, who invented ice axes and also a stretcher that is used by mountain rescue teams all over the world
