London is an old city.

It does not "try" to do anything.

It merely is.

You do not judge London, it is London that judges you.

London is my favorite city. I get the perfect vibe when being in London. I have an emotional connection to this city due to some personal reasons.

It is my favorite city. It always will be.

  5. Just to observe, nothing in this photograph is more than 200 years old (unless we count Westminster Abbey, and Westminster Hall), so London is a new city.

  6. Same here – born here and still my number one city – despite the challenges as of late. No City is perfect, but taking the pros/cons despite the weather, cost of living crisis, security, unreliable transport, NHS healthcare….. my heart still feels at home whenever I’m here.

  10. I feel somewhat cynical and envious, because after being born in London and living there for 27 years, I wish I could feel as lovingly towards the city as many others do. However I’m no longer living there and don’t wish to return anytime soon.

  14. These are some technically poor phone camera photos, try not to take pictures into the sun, it causes underexposure. Or try HDR if you have it.

  15. This is true. Recent attempts by Khan seem to think it should be defined as a global capital or a country in it’s own right. It’s completely wrong. The city should simply be. It’s an ancient place, one built by the Romans, and then a British one. It’s ancient.

  19. Genuinely, I love London because I think it’s far more chilled and grounded compared to New York, LA and Dubai. It’s classy but not pretentious. You can go to a pub after work and chat with anyone. You can go to a beer garden in the summer and chat to anyone. You can go to a nightclub and chat to anyone in the smoking area. It’s very friendly and not classist, despite negative stereotypes.
