Scottish Lord in bid to block Donald Trump from addressing Parliament | Lord George Foulkes of Cumnock, a former MP and MSP, has suggested that allowing Trump to address Westminster would be ‘inappropriate’.

10. Foulkes of all people having to make this point shows what a disservice the SNP have done us by refusing to appoint Lords while they were in Westminster.

    Accordingly there is now a shortage of Scottish voices in our own upper house and we have to rely on old tories and a handful of Labour appointees.

    I know they disagree with the principle of the Lords, but they disagree with the commons aswell and took their seats there!
