  1. Pretty much the same as everywhere else, but with more cruise ships.

  2. I’m from there, a lot of drinking and debauchery, that’s the main two activities…

  3. The wicker man is a documentary

  4. 1) Royalism.
    2) Being weirdly smug that there used to be oil in the vicinity.
    3) Getting low-key pissed if you refer to Scotland as the mainland.
    4) Being broadly quite nice despite the above.

  5. The locals leave and incomers buy up over-priced property…..and cruise ships.

  6. Mostly sheep farming, folk music festivals, and a lot of arty-farty creative stuff.

  7. English retirement villages and old Orcadians wondering where all their bairns have gone

  8. My niece and cousin live in the Orkneys I love it there at Margaret’s hope is stunning

  9. Lots. Amazing history, good music, great local produce, big fishing/farming industry, renewable energy, rich history of art and literature. Great place to live.

  10. haggis island my gran would say where the first haggis was meant to be found so they say

  11. I’m from Shetland, we’re further north and we are superior to those Orcadians

  12. drinking, sex, making dinner, putting the bins out. not necessarily in that order.
