  2. Scott Bessent is the US Secretary of the Treasury and a cheer leader for the Trump administration’s tariffs.

    Scott Bessent claiming that the IMF “Now it devotes disproportionate time and resources to work on climate change, gender, and social issues” is a deflection while promoting the Trump administration agenda.

  3. The ones and Tooze podcast in a recent episode were talking about the problems with the IMF and the world bank, and it was apparent that the problem is not the scope of the mission but the the scope of the resources to complete the mission.

    Too often restrictions come with the loans which hinder economic development and the ability to pay back the loans.

  4. Focusing on climate change would be focusing on global financial stability.

    Maybe a conflict of interest is preventing the opposition party from taking care of such an obvious problem that deserves a revocation of credibility?
