  1. I woke up thinking it was Saturday which wasn’t the best thing as I’m now very sad that I have to go to work and won’t be home until after 6pm.

  2. For whatever reason, having those four days off last weekend has screwed up my working routine. This week has DRAGGED and it’s not even the start of the new weekend yet.

    I think it might be time for me to start looking for a new job!

  3. First weekend in a while I havent been to some family do, christening or been forced to endure DIY. Will spend the weekend pottering.

  4. Well, I’ve arrived at work to be told I’ve got today booked off as holiday.

    I have no idea why this might be, and I apparently booked it back in February.

  5. Was looking forward to a relaxing weekend, then I saw the road barriers and hospitality tents going up at the end of the road and it reminded me the marathon is this weekend. The start line is about 100 yards from my house, so Sunday is going to be hell.

  6. Currently in France and enjoying far too much strong beer and fantastic food. Life is good.

  7. Sulking, because this should have been my last shift before 3 days off, and I’ve been allocated a half shift tomorrow afternoon and training on Monday morning. Bye bye long weekend that I was looking forward to after working all Easter. I need a holiday, and do have some time off booked end of May!

    Hope everyone else’s Friday is a proper nice one, whatever you are doing 🙂

  9. Currently on a plane back to the UK which left at 10pm EST. Can’t sleep on planes, gonna be a hell of a day when we land in 2 hours….

  10. It’s been a long week. Off for a training course this afternoon, finishing tomorrow evening. Looking forward to it but also would really rather have been able to have a lie in tomorrow.

  13. Avoiding doing EAA boring stuff for the website and concentrating on what I’m going to have at hickorys later 😄

    On Sunday we’re taking cars to a show so Saturday the fiancé will be cleaning them making them presentable. Nice relaxing fun weekend hopefully!

  14. By happy coincidence, after a bit of work, I will continue with my reading of Lord of the Rings.

  15. Need to do a food shop since Asda cancelled my delivery yesterday. I don’t drive so it’s an annoying couple of bus trips carrying heavy carrier bags.

  16. The kid woke up before 6, giggling and generally happy then 10 minutes later he decided he’s angry and just decided to be a cunt, screaming, stamping, punched himself in the side of the head.

    Little fucker keeps forgetting that he’s in a mood, so he occasionally gets happy and then remembers that he’s doing this on purpose and starts kicking off again.

    I’ve got a sitter for tomorrow thankfully but today is already ruined and I’ll probably be getting some phone calls from school.

  17. Day off and payday which is always a good combination. We’re off to Manchester to see the stage version of A Knights Tale and I’m really hoping they do the film justice 

  18. Payday treat we’re getting dirty breakfasts at work from this banging food truck in a B&Q car park round the corner. Took my wife there once on the way back from a day out. Surprised her. She loved it.

  19. I want to buy so many things it’s not even funny. Still not been paid which is odd, so boss is chasing it up.

    Got the breakdown for one new job yesterday, hoping to get the other today so I can think about it over the weekend and decide.

  21. Well I just clocked out at midnight my time and in journaling to process how my day was I just wrote:

    “Work: yikes. Dehydrated. If anyone has a bone to pick tomorrow because they chose not to read my copious notes and clear instructions about the Situation, that sounds like a Them Problem.”

    And my paracetamol just wore off. I’m off to Bedfordshire 💤

  22. Payday so paying bills whilst I work. Probably walk to the co-op for a cheeky lunch. Maybe treat myself to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 but I also wanna play Oblivion 😆

  24. Having to work remote today waiting for a plumber since someone thought it was a brilliant idea to put a water tank in the roof above a bedroom. Now have a soggy bed and a very wet ceiling/lights to deal with after being rudely dripped on at 3am. Must remember to not turn the light on tonight or BOOM.

  25. Managed to go over on my ankle yesterday – 4 hours in A&E, x-rays and plenty of prodding and it’s a sprain. Sent home and told to keep it up, I’ve it and take painkillers. So working from home with my leg up and a bag of frozen peas 😂 At least I can spend the weekend reading my book without feeling guilty that I should be doing something else!

Another day of phoning my gp practice to chase down a prescription for the part of my HRT that my useless pharmacy can’t get hold of, then spending more time at the other pharmacy in town to (I hope) collect the tablets. I have tablets until next Wednesday but I really don’t want to spend the next four days trying to get them. It’s just as well that I don’t have a job.

  27. I’ve left my sodding laptop charger at the sodding office so now I have to sodding walk an hour and back to sodding pick it up because my sodding bike has a sodding puncture.

  28. WFH today, luckily no rain so may venture out for a walk at some point if weather holds up.

    I think I’ll do some self paced studying for 1 or 2 hours today at some point as well and plan to watch an episode of the new season of Andor. I also need to watch the latest episode of Last of Us Season 2 as well.
