  1. I am pro-Palestine, but i can’t help but agree with Zionists saying “No Jews, no News”. News about the Middle East that doesn’t involve Israel-Palestine conflict are ignored. A few days ago, it was reported that 21k Syrian alawites fled from their homes in Syria to Lebanon because of anti-Alawite genocide and i didn’t see anyone talking about it or people protesting against it, even this post doesn’t get any attraction here, it only got 5 upvotes after it was posted 35 mins ago and one of these upvotes is from me, if it’s about Palestine then it would get at least 50 upvotes by now.

  2. I highly recommend everyone follow syriajusticearchive on instagram to stay up to date, these massacres and pogroms are still happening daily and literally no one in eastern or western media outlets are covering it.

  3. Has to be said the article doesn’t do a very good job pinning this on HTS. For starters, it doesn’t do a very good job demonstrating this is widespread or some sort of campaign. 10 since HTS took over does not make a campaign. Second, it even states how the massacres and oppression of the alawites is being led by factions like SNA. Yes both HTS and SNA are in the same military, but the groups have largely endured within the military, so it’s a big distinction between the actions of the two. Third, the images in the linked twitter post are all about ISIS kidnappings, not anything to do with the supposed HTS kidnapping campaign. And don’t even get me started on how the article seems to think the history of HTS ended in 2014. Overall seems like a hit piece more than journalism. I think the kidnappings should absolutely stop and more should be done by the government to achieve this, but it doesn’t look like an HTS-led kidnapping campaign at all.

  4. This is incredibly disappointing to hear. Shaara needs to reign in the malignant factions tied to his General Security group, and fast.

I understand why some Syrians may be inclined towards Alawite violence – but Assad’s elevation of their minority and preferential treatment does not justify any violence towards civilians, most especially sexual violence against innocent women and children.

Syria has so much potential. Don’t fuck this up.

  5. Not a good start for the new Syrian regime. More and more of the alawite community are going to turn to Israel for protection, which will only make tensions worse.

When the massacre happened, the government said it was radicals. Now we find out women are being kidnapped into a life of rape and slavery at their government compound?

Assad 2.0. Religion is a disease.

  6. They are doing everything in their power to destabilize the new Syria.

The country doesn’t even have a functioning government yet but they already want it to fail.

I wish them the best honestly. It’s clear they have an uphill battle.

  7. I mean where is the direct evidence of this systematically happening as part of action by the state other than some social media post claiming or reports.
