Basel is buzzing with excitement as it hosts a wide array of official Eurovision events this May. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the Swiss broadcaster SRG, and the city of Basel, fans can enjoy concerts, public viewings, rehearsals and celebrations spread across Eurovision Square, Eurovision Village, and the main show arena.

Basel has prepared an entire week of events, starting 10 May until 17 May. Fans have the chance to enjoy some jazz, some 90s, hiphop, and a bit of karaoke.

The festivities kick off on 10 May with a vibrant day at Eurovision Square dedicated to pop, soul and global music. Visitors can enjoy free concerts from 14:00 to 00:00 CET. At the same time, the Eurovision Village officially opens its doors from 12:00 to 00:00 CET. While entry is free, there will be admission checks to ensure everyone’s safety.

Jazz, diversity and the first semi-final excitement

On 11 May, jazz lovers will take centre stage at Eurovision Square with live music from 14:00 to 00:00 CET. Meanwhile, the Eurovision Village will host the Eurovision Opening Ceremony from 12:00 to 00:00 CET. Later in the evening on 12 May, fans can attend the first rehearsal for the first semi-final at the main show arena at 21:00 CET, a ticketed event.

Diversity Day on 12 May in the Eurovision Village will highlight different cultures and communities, running from 12:00 to 00:00 CET. Eurovision Square will also feature funk and brass bands starting at 16:00 CET.

Live shows, public viewings and crossover sounds

The live broadcast of the first semi-final takes place on 13 May at 21:00 CET, with tickets required for entry to the main show. Earlier that day, fans can gather at the Eurovision Village for a public viewing starting from 12:00 CET. Classical and crossover music fans will be treated to performances at Eurovision Square from 16:00 CET.

On 14 May, Eurovision Square hosts Eurovision Day from 16:00 CET, while Eurovision Village welcomes artists Michael Schulte and Sinplus from 12:00 CET. The first rehearsal for the second semi-final will also take place at the main show arena at 21:00 CET, ticket required.

Karaoke, 90s nostalgia and hip hop beats

On 15 May, Eurovision Square invites visitors to a Pop & Karaoke Day, while the Eurovision Village screens the second semi-final during the day, all with free admission. In the evening, the second semi-final live show will start at 21:00 CET at the arena, ticket required.

The celebrations continue on 16 May with a Hiphop Day at Eurovision Square and a 90s Night at Eurovision Village featuring acts like SNAP!, Rednex and others, both free to attend from 12:00 CET onwards. That evening, the first grand final rehearsal will be held at 21:00 CET at the main show.

The grand final and the biggest party of all

17 May is packed with activities, including a Party Day at Eurovision Square starting from 14:00 CET. Eurovision Village will host a public viewing of the Grand Final throughout the day. Meanwhile, fans with tickets can attend the Grand Final Rehearsal 2 from 13:30 CET and the live Grand Final itself from 21:00 CET at the main show arena.

Fans wanting even more can head to Arena Plus from 19:00 CET for extra festivities, with tickets needed.
