SINGAPORE: For the first time in a decade, a lunchtime rally returned to the heart of the city as part of election campaigning.

Candidates from the ruling People’s Action Party (PAP) took to the stage at Raffles Place on Monday (Apr 28).

The headline act was Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, as was the case for his predecessors at past rallies.

With Polling Day just a few days away on May 3, parties are also ramping up their ground efforts.
