When your perceived ‘enemy’ is both weak yet strong at the same time…

  1. Funniest part is that all three apply more accurately to their party these days than the left

  2. Everything is a sport to conservatives; including mental gymnastics.

  3. > “Never believe that *[the fascists of your time]* are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The *[fascists of your time]* have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.”

    ―Jean-Paul Sartre

  4. out doing doublethink, only conservatives can do triplethink.

  5. Conservatives playing the hits of the 1930s, except their “Left” often had a more specific name.

  6. And ANTIFA is some sort of highly organised, left-wing extremist anti-american terrorist organisation.

  7. I feel like I might represent one of those groups but not friends with the other two. . . lol

  8. The enemy is weak and strong where have I heard that one?

  9. This condition of the ‘conservatives’ is actually a big part of the definition of fascism, both historically and now.

The Enemy is all things to all people, it has an open definition that the Leader can change at any time, for any situation. It’s a post-fact condition. They often don’t care what the real details are. Trump wants his people hanging on his words, in a continual state of unknowing uncertainty. It makes them easier to manipulate. They don’t want objective 3rd-party sources giving solid facts that might not cooperate with their agenda.

  10. The point is not so much to be intellectually honest as to tarnish your reputation so they can justify harming you

  11. They have had years of practice worrying about lazy immigrants stealing their jobs.

  12. This is what AI said when I told it to reply like an intellectual conservative:

This meme is a perfect example of why political discourse is collapsing into childish snark instead of actual argument. It oversimplifies complex criticisms into a smug little strawman and then pretends it’s “owning” conservatives.

Here’s the reality: the modern left is not monolithic. It contains multiple, often contradictory factions, and conservatives recognize that. There are segments characterized by dependency and entitlement (e.g., the growing percentages relying on welfare programs without pursuing work — see U.S. Census Bureau, 2022 Welfare Participation Survey). There are violent extremist wings — Antifa and BLM rioters caused billions in damages across the U.S. (Insurance Information Institute, 2021). And yes, there is an elite class — overwhelmingly left-leaning — concentrated in media, academia, Silicon Valley, and major financial institutions (see Pew Research, Political Typology 2021; Harvard’s Shorenstein Center, 2017 reporting media bias metrics).

These factions aren’t mutually exclusive — they coexist and often enable each other. The “lazy” radicals provide the bodies; the “ruthless” agitators create the chaos; and the “elites” provide the funding, protection, and ideological frameworks (OpenSecrets.org, 2020 election contributions show Democrats dominated donations from tech, media, and education sectors).

This isn’t some wild conspiracy theory — it’s basic political coalition analysis. The left is a coalition of grievance groups, corporate elites, and ideological revolutionaries, all loosely aligned because they share a common enemy: traditional American values.

Pretending this complexity is a contradiction is either breathtakingly naive or willfully dishonest. Pick one.

  13. “The enemy is simultaneously strong and weak”

Where have I heard that before?

  14. A key tenant of fascism is that the enemy isn’t worthy enough to live and yet is powerful enough to be an existential threat.

  15. It’s all a part of framing the left as the fundamental evil. The left is everything negative even when the negatives contradict.

  16. Need another fingy and longer cup to get that diet Coke in the mix. There’s definitely diet Coke in the mix.

  17. If only the cultists believed truth as easily as they believe what their dear leader says.

  18. I’ve made fun of so many idiots who ask “doesn’t anyone on the left work?” So I just tell them we’re all liberal elites who don’t need to work because we have so much money or “sorry Burger King won’t give you random days off”. They never appreciate my jokes.

  19. NGL I believe all three things about conservatives. MAGA in the middle, boomer fox news addicts on the left, and legacy billionaires on the right.

  20. It all comes down to the same message from the right: “We are the only legitimate victims!”

  21. works the other way round though, they have a smart and dangerous elite and a really stupid base

  22. When you’re an idiot/conservative, you’ll believe anything.

They’re letting us know they’re low IQ. We should take advantage of them. Daddy Trump shouldn’t be the only one robbing them blind.

  23. Everything is in a quantum state with these jokers, even their policies.

  24. When your cult leader is a 34 times convicted felon, sexual assaulter, porn star adulterer, six times bankrupted fraudster, banned from owning charities, most famous pedophile in history’s best friend, insurrectionist, but also God’s “Christian” , “Chosen One”, you must be a MAGA Republican!

  25. Hard to be a shittier American than a Republican these days

  26. Oh that’s easy, I can decode this.. The left option are the soyboys and feminists, the middle ones are the Democrat politicians and political activists, and the right is pretty much just George Soros and his deep state employees.
