  1. Phone shop or whatever it is in Belfast city centre Lombard street.

  2. American candy shops, vape shops and barbers.

    There was a crackdown in the North West of England the other week.

    I was in Liverpool the day after and there were a couple of convenience stores and vape shops with big yellow stickers on the doors saying they’d been closed by the council and the police.

  3. A local petrol station that charges 20p per litre more than its nearest competitor, has always been empty but is still thriving.

  4. Basically any store that doesn’t accept card in town? lol like that one shop behind Primark, I once found a yellow fanta exotic…

  6. When the prices are so high, you’re not sure if you’re buying candy or an equity stake in the shop.

  7. When the shop is called ‘Totally Legit Candy Co.’ but all they sell is expensive licorice and sadness.

  8. Turkish barbers that you never see anyone in yet all the staff drive nice new BMWs, Audis etc etc

  9. Convinced my local chinese is. Cash only, and always a bunch of teenagers inside sitting about having a bit of craic with the owner (or at least guy that works there, who’s about 50). They come and go. Bikes outside. I know what I think is going on. Stopped going to it. Shame as it was tasty. Apart from anything else, I never have cash these days!

  10. There used to be an Indian restaurant in Lurgan that never had a soul in it, but it was open for years and years. It came out later that the owner of there was basically pimping out illegal workers to work in the local takeaways. It all came out when one of the local Chinese’s refused to pay them so the Indian guy got caught on video ordering all his workers out of the kitchen in there. 

  11. Those DVD rental shops that stayed open waaaay after DVDS were a thing. Had one down the road from me up until just a few years back. He had the worst selection of old dvds but the best selection of tax free tobacco products.

    I would say there are at least 5 ‘shops’ in lurgan that are washing money for a well known organised crime group.

  14. Charity shops. No record of purchasing stock as it’s all donated and no staff wages trail as they are volunteers. Nice and safe way to launder £10/20k a week.

  15. Walked into a vape shop and your man couldn’t have tried harder to not sell me something. Literally didn’t give a fuck.

    Went into another one and the lad working there couldn’t have been chattier or more helpful.

    Any “money changed here” especially at the border

    Most phone repair stands in shopping centres

    Any mobile phone cover shop

  20. Definitely the phone repair and speakers shop at the bottom of Castle Street in Bangor. I walk past it pretty much daily and have never seen a single customer in the year or so it’s been there.

  23. I will die on the hill that some of the chicken shops around Dublin Road/Bradbury Place are our own versions of Los Pollos Hermanos from Breaking Bad 🍗

  24. The triads in coleraine dont run a money laundering shop but they do collect rent on a few select locations and the occupying businesses

  25. This was such a cool ready and scary cause I thought America Candy shop were just rip of merchant’s.

  26. Used to be a wee record shop in Carrick called Kragtrak that I was always convinced had to be something like this. in 25 years I never saw anyone in it once.

    I’d say there’s plenty of shops in Carrick that are in some sort of scheme though lol.

  27. Woodstock Video was still running until a few years ago on the Woodstock Road. A few random DVDs in the window and nothing else.

    Also on the Woodstock. A generic “Pound Shop” with basic signage and frosted front windows so you can’t even see in.
