Israeli forces arrest prominent Palestinian journalist in West Bank

1. “According to the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), Israeli forces have arrested at least 79 journalists in the West Bank and Gaza since the start of the Gaza war in October 2023, while Palestinian authorities have arrested five others.

   Another 176 journalists, almost all of them Palestinian, have been killed in Gaza, the West Bank, Israel and Lebanon during the war, the organisation says.”

   The Israeli government thinks that silencing journalists is critical to their mission because the facts of the matter routinely display the ethnic cleansing and subjugation they are inflicting on the Palestinian population in both Gaza and the West Bank. It’s gross.

Please remember that Samoudi was also a target of the 2022 assassination by the IDF and survived being shot in the back when they murdered the Palestinian-American citizen and journalist Shireen Abu Akleh. The US government rejected Samoudi’s first-hand account of the assassination, as well as the testimony of all Palestinian witnesses. Despite proof that the IDF altered their first and second round of reports and lied about the murder of Akleh and attempted murder of Samoudi, the US government accepted their third claims and ruled the assassination a ‘mistake’ for which no one would he held accountable.

3. Of course they do, Israel can’t have journalists spreading the truth of their barbaric genocide. Journalists have always been a target of Israeli Zionists. Just like they routinely murder International medics with impunity. Israel is a genocidal terrorist state and the people of the world is waking up to it, despite the propaganda.
