I don’t know who’s cat thus is but it is always in the same spot and always meows at you to come over and for once I finally gave it all the love and pets as I wasn’t in a mad rush for work for once. The cat stopped a further two people behind me and got all the love and attention.

Does anyone else get greeted by the same friendly feline or any other animal on their way to work?

  1. There is a cat on my street yes. Always give him a pat on the head when he comes bounding over, however…. I have once or twice left my front door open sorting shopping out only to discover he’s legged it up to my top floor and plonked himself on my bed. Cheeky git.

  2. We have a ginger cat in the close who will leg it over for a fuss if you make eye contact. Absolutely adore him.

We also used to have a cat we nicknamed PT Cat for part time cat. He’d wander in if the windows were open or hang out with me in the garden while I read or did outdoor jobs. We never fed him so felt confident he just liked our place (possibly the only one without children or dogs).

  3. There is a black and white cat that greets me at my doorstep after a night shift.

  4. Used to but it died a couple weeks back, 15 years old from the little plaque someone put up where it sat.

  5. There’s a few cats round my way and 1 ginger and white cat will come and say hello and it’s not very often. I’m not a cat person in general, but over the last few years I always love meeting a friendly cat on the road

  6. Milo comes and greets us and tries to get inside of the house on occasion. He lives about 30 doors up the road.

  7. I have 2 different cats on a walking route I take between my house and my local lidl. Very friendly indeed.

I used to be a delivery driver so came across plenty of friendly cats but also some skittish ones too. Dogs however? Always came in for the cuddles and one came running with his ball for a game of fetch!

  8. I do get greeted by the neighbour who lives round the corner’s cat, his name is Cheerios and he’s a black and white old boy.

  9. There’s one cat that lounges around in the street all day and demands pets from everyone who passes by. There’s another that’s an unsociable bugger but still insists on doing a full tour of my house if ever I leave the back door open. There’s a third that avoids everyone and just lives to beat up the local foxes.

  10. As a kid I lived next door to a primary school, on a quiet residential street. I think my cat was probably the most popular cat that ever existed, and she knew it. Every day, from 8:30am, she’d be there. Waiting on the garden wall. Same at 3:30pm.

  11. I do, on my way to church. He gives me no choice. He will charge down the street and cross the road to make sure I say hello to him.

  12. Maybe Im a catsist.

But that cat looks…really old! I mean it looks like what I would imagine an old cat to look (mostly cuz of the eyes)

  13. I used to like the street cat until I found it was the one shitting in my garden, now he isn’t as welcome.

  14. There was a cat on the street I grew up on that would come running over to say hello to me and the dog whenever we went for a walk.

The dog never quite knew what to make of that but eventually they became friends
