  1. >After announcing its policy change, the FA promised it would reach out to the 20 or so transgender women it will affect.

There are 2.5 million female football athletes playing in FA affiliate leagues, the vast majority of which are amateur and grassroot. The FA is much more interested in punishing the 1 in 100,000 players than actually spending money in supporting women’s football.

For the record, no female football club is calling for this change, if anything many of the trans-inclusive, queer-friendly ones (of which there are many given the overlap of women’s football and the queer community) will move away from FA affiliated leagues and set up their own trans-inclusive, queer-friendly leagues.

  2. To be clear: the supreme court ruling did not rule on whether or not trans women should not be allowed in sports, they *”just”* decided that organisations cannot be sued for throwing them out

These organisations are not being forced to do this and are not affected by them, this is them being as cruel as possible and putting in extra effort to signal their stance

  3. This is the easiest solution and barely affects anyone, hope everyone just does this so we can move on to something more important

Sports, bathrooms and minors are like the 3 things people constantly argue about when it comes to trans stuff
