  1. Car passed its MOT yesterday! However, the garage did it so late in the day, I couldn’t go and pick it up before they closed, so I’ll have to go today instead.

    Also, I did read that ^^ at first that you were lightly fingering Hobbits.

  2. o/ can’t believe it’s Friday already.

    I need to hit the gym – doing a 5K in 10 days and I’m woefully undertrained. Then hopefully seeing friends for coffee, getting a bunch of work and housework done.

    If I have time left over, I need to crimp some custom cables for a computer. 10-pin ATX to 3x 4-pin Molex and 1x SATA power. This will surely be easy as anything…

  4. Got the dentist later. Can’t wait to have my teeth poked and prodded and probably be told that I need to spend ££££ to fix something or other. Urgh.

  5. I’ve got someone coming out to fix my bedroom window this morning. It’ll be nice to be able to open it again. Apart from that, I’ll be doing all the stuff I should have done yesterday, so housework and a bit of gardening. Coffee and painkillers first though.

  7. Daughters off school with an inset day so I’m waiting for her to get back from staying at her dad’s house.

Finally put in the applications for moving my girls school for the August start (I’m Scottish) it should have been done back in August after we found from 3 other parents who moved that our kids were getting picked on relentlessly and one of the time it was extremely dangerous but my wife refused because she just bought them uniforms and didn’t want to buy more so soon and wanted to give the school more chances (the school was her old school) so fingers crossed we get accepted by the new school

  9. Boss man is closing up shop 3h early today and taking whoever wanted to come to the races. Drinks on him I quote: ‘within reason’.

    Anyone else who didn’t want to go is free to leave early so win win!

    Nice little end to the week leading into the bank holiday, let’s hope my horses come in for a cheeky little extra.

  10. I feel so old and pathetic.

    I bought a bike to start cycling into work with. Been doing it all week. It’s a really easy 5 mile ride, all cycle paths, downhill on the way in, which helped me make my decision.

    Last night though I had absolutely no energy whatsoever and went to bed early with a shivering temperature.

    I dno if it’s connected with the sudden exercise (haven’t done any for a while) in the heatwave we’ve just had but I felt absolutely pathetic that gently riding 10 miles a day would put me on my arse.

    I drove in today.
