The United Kingdom’s jury points at Eurovision 2025 will be announced by Ncuti Gatwa, the current star of the BBC’s Doctor Who.

The BBC has confirmed in a press release this morning that Gatwa will be the UK’s official spokesperson for Eurovision 2025. Currently playing The Doctor on the long-running BBC sci-fi show, Gatwa isn’t the first Doctor Who alumni to announce the UK’s points – former companion Catherine Tate announced them in Liverpool in 2023.

Earlier in the day on BBC One, Gatwa will star in a new episode of the show based around Eurovision. “The Interstellar Song Contest” will see the show travel to a song contest that sees planets compete against each other rather than countries, and it’ll feature cameos from Graham Norton and Rylan.

And, with some of the stars of the BBC’s Eurovision coverage lending their hand to Doctor Who on the day of the Eurovision 2025 final, Gatwa is now confirmed to be involved in the BBC’s Eurovision plans.

Remember Monday will be representing the United Kingdom this year with their entry “What The Hell Just Happened?”. The entry was internally selected by the BBC and formally revealed on the 7th of March. As a member of the Big 5, the United Kingdom will automatically perform in the Grand Final on Saturday the 17th of May.

Who are Remember Monday?

Remember Monday is a country-pop girl group formed of Charlotte Steele, Holly-Anne Hull, and Lauren Byrne. Formerly known as Houston, the group formed in 2013 when they met while studying at The Sixth Form College Farnborough, changing their name to Remember Monday in 2018.

Their first big television appearance occurred in 2019, when they participated in The Voice UK, reaching the quarter-finals after being mentored by Jennifer Hudson.
