The main difference is that comedians get more leeway due to the context. While for Kneecap the context is they propagandise violence and have encouraged support for proscribed terror organisations outside of their “art” or any “manufactured persona”.

People do attack MPs and two have been killed recently. It is something a person listening to could try to do. They also are making this calling while using imagery associated with Irish Republicanism, which has historically assassinated MPs and consider them legitimate targets.

The real issue is not who said what but rather what does or doesn’t get reported.
