ST. LOUIS — The Mets offense clicked into gear on Friday. Now they have a chance to grab a series win over the Cardinals on Saturday afternoon.

The Mets tagged 17 hits, with every member of the starting lineup reaching base, in a lopsided 9-3 win in the series opener.

Tylor Megill (3-2, 1.74) will look to help the Mets secure the series win over the Cardinals at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday at Busch Stadium. He will be facing off against the Cardinals’ Erik Fedde (1-3, 4.68).

Megill tossed a season-high 6⅓ innings with nine strikeouts and three earned runs allowed on three hits and one walk in a no-decision last time out on the road against the Cardinals.
