Wahey, it's late, it's Saturday night!
Why are you still up? Off out for a fight? Doing the night shift?
Come on in for a chat.

Watching The Green Mile for the first time, I had no idea that mice and UTIs would be so important to the plot.
I’m slowly working my way through all the classic (30s to 60s) films I haven’t seen before. I’ve just watched Brief Encounter for the first time and I enjoyed it, barely looked at my phone throughout. I’m going to start on Casablanca in a bit, again as a first time viewer. Not sure what to expect.
Listening to a ten hour heavy dub playlist, drinking red wine, contemplating how to invest excess pension funds, preparing to go see Young Gun Silver Fox tomorrow in Hoxton amid train drama
I lost track of time, so I am behind on taking my meds. Really want to be asleep soon.
I made lego , read alot and napped i really should nap more often just gotta hope i sleep tonight.
Lets hope i sleep and i can nap again tomorrow.
Maybe my 30s will be the decade my body learns to nap again lol.
Gran came over for a nosy round my lil house. Then I went food shopping. I then made dinner and ate it and then fancied something sweet so I made up a half batch of scones. Ate 2 just before they went cool and oh my goodness.
Bit of dream light valley but my eyes are getting tired so put down now and am off to sleep.
Have a lump on my finger. Had it years, dr wasn’t concerned, but now it’s started hurting.
Oh well.
I’ve got a weekend off (rare treat as a head chef) so had an incredible Indian takeaway, but the lamb Bangalore has made me windier than windy miller in monsoon season…. lordy
Two straight nights of staying up for Game 7s in the NBA Playoffs and a bank holiday on monday, I could get used to this
Earlier I went to see 2001: A Space Odyssey on a vintage 70mm print in *Cinerama*, of all things! I’ve now seen a 35mm print, Christopher Nolan’s 4K version, a 70mm print (which I thought would be the pinnacle), and now this. At one of the three Cinerama screens left in the world (and the only one that’s currently still open). So that was a hell of a thing.
You’d think in that environment you’d find a respectful audience, but no. I sat directly in front of someone who was a pretty terrible moviegoer. She was rustling a very loud bag in my ear during the last half, then during the intermission she told her partner – who asked “So you don’t like it then?” presumably as a reaction to a Face – that she “didn’t give a fuck”, “What’s it called again?”. At the end, when the film is mostly silent, the rustling got worse and she started whispering. He didn’t reply, so as not to encourage her.
I get it, people in cinemas are awful, but this isn’t Captain America at Cineworld on Saturday afternoon. She didn’t exactly ruin my experience but the worst part was *knowing* that she wasn’t enjoying the film yet she still stayed and caused a nuisance, affecting the enjoyment of everyone within earshot. Some people, maybe(?), might have been there because they’d heard it was good and had nothing else planned. Others would have travelled great distances to get here for this potentially once-in-a-lifetime chance. Almost all would have been as thrilled as I was to be there. *It’s really special!* I didn’t even know Cinerama screens were still a thing. If the world’s only Cinerama was in mainland Europe and I heard they were showing it I’m not kidding I would have booked a ticket, flights and a hotel because when are you going to get another chance?
“I don’t give a fuck” *rustles a Sainsbury’s popcorn bag “What’s it called again?”*
I’m rocking out to the most catchy and edgy track I’ve ever heard in a computer game – Resist and Disorder from Cyberpunk. Heard it during an Overwatch stream, found it on Youtube and now I cannot stop playing the hell out of it lol. I’ve never played Cyberpunk before as it doesn’t look my sort of game, but the music is S tier.
Goes very well on my Reaper playlist (Overwatch hero) for it’s edginess lol.
