They are specifically teaching not to use that important skill, crippling their functionality in modern society just so the church and politicians can maintain a steady supply of people who’ll believe anything.

I grew up in Tulsa and the public school civics/poli sci courses taught back then was top notch. Learned about the constitution, separation of powers, landmark supreme court cases, etc. in depth.
