Labour’s Reform copycat act has backfired. Following Farage on immigration while cutting money from OAPs and the disabled has been a disaster.

It honestly pisses me off just how coddled pensioners are. They are the richest group of people in the UK, the days of pensioners being the most poverty stricken group is -long- gone and yet the media treats them as if they’re a delicate flower that needs protected, rather than the voting block that has always got their way.
The amount of money we spend on them is frankly unsustainable; the triple lock needs to go immediately, the winter fuel benefits cut was a good thing; and honestly if our economic future is looking bad enough that we’re cutting free school meals for kids, we need to look at taxing the state pension more heavily for pensioners who already earn a lot from their private pension.
If we’re all in this together, then pensioners need to feel some of that sting, particularly considering how as a demographic they’ve voted over the last 15 years.
If Starmer wasn’t so dead set against spin things like means testing the winter fuel payment wouldn’t have been such a big issue.
‘the blue Labour agenda’
Labour as ‘the party of austerity’
Lol
Where’s all the angry ‘they’re not red Tories’ Union forever brigade now???
