SS: **Summary:**
As tensions rise between India and Pakistan following a terrorist attack in Indian-controlled Kashmir, Pakistani leaders adopt a defiant tone, signaling military preparedness. However, the public sentiment in Pakistan tells a different story. Amid ongoing economic struggles, high inflation, unemployment, and political disillusionment, many citizens are deeply wary of war. People across the country—especially the youth—are calling for peace, not conflict, emphasizing that the nation is already burdened with numerous internal challenges. The contrast between official rhetoric and civilian concerns highlights a growing disconnect in Pakistan.

Overall it seems the military establishment is publicly embracing a war posture just for the sake of justifying its high expenses in a broke state. But I wonder how much a rally-around-the-flag event would change the public appetite in case of an attack.
Oh I’m pretty sure things are going to get a lot tougher for Pakistani public because I don’t think India is going to go on an all out war or any kind of loud overt strikes this time. This time it seems they are going to create international pressure and make use domestic problems in Pakistan, which means no war but life’s gonna get a little more uncomfortable for an average Pakistani.
Pakistan’s economy is in a crippling state, with massive debt, dwindling foreign exchange reserves, and constant IMF bailouts. Right now 23rd bailout, with a 24th on the way, worth $1.3 billion. Add to that a volatile government, and it’s a ticking time bomb. Even if they go to war, they may last for just 10 days.
Even their so-called ‘propaganda’ is failing internally, with late-night press conferences at 2 a.m. Let’s not forget the embarrassing propaganda stunts, like the DGPR releasing ‘combat-ready’ footage stolen from SpaceX, Call of Duty, and Russian S-400s. If they are going to do propaganda, at least do it right.
