3. I will add that in my opinion this is a bad sign for the EU. If euroskeptics and pro America leaders are continuously elected we will see a decline in the eus ability to act independently as a power. Instead being more dependent on America not less.

4. To what extent is Simion arguing that Western Europe simply won’t be there for Eastern Europe, and so they are going to have to align with Russia one way or another? I remember Macron saying that Europe had risked its credibility on its promise to Ukraine.
