I remember these from the Top Gear race to Oslo with the McLaren Mercedes. Clarkson ate some at a service station.
You need to wash that down with a glass of a delightful Hungarian liqueur called Unicum
I got my cousins a few packs of spunk when I met them at my cousins wedding, my least fun cousin enjoyed it, and even her Dad struggled not to laugh about it.
I remember seeing Jeremy Clarkson buying one of these as he raced a Mercedes from Norway to the UK vs. a ferry. Always wondered if it was genuine or just an early Euro-gag.
These are great but you can’t beat the original spunk. I’ve had to ration myself as I could eat it all day.
One of the highlights is seeing the little road safety cartoon on the top flap.
Haha I bought these as gifts for everyone when I went to Copenhagen last month, went down a treat with my friends and colleagues
Try the Plopp – you can sometimes get it in Lidl here
It’s not really new, it’s been a source of schoolboy amusement since 1971 – [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spunk_(candy)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spunk_(candy))
Long before its modern urban dictionary definition, it meant courage, determination. the brand name came from a Pippi Longstocking book, hardly a 50 shades of its day.
I first discovered Spunk in 2000, and I have to tell you I still find it utterly hilarious. The jokes never stop.
Hey! Swedish born and raised here. In case anyone’s wondering I think the connotation is same as the English word spunk as in “you’ve got spunk kiddo” just without knowledge of the other meaning of that word. It’s still quite a weird word to use in Swedish though. Unlike “slut” which means “the end” and will be displayed at the end of a lot of kids movies.
Your favourite flavour I imagine ?
I heard it eating pineapple beforehand makes them taste better
Next time you’re in Scandinavia pick me up a Plopp with Skum
