  1. Queen Adelaide’s Fringe was a necklace/tiara not to be confused with Queen Mary’s fringe. Was commissioned by King William IV. Worn then by Queen Victoria and then Queen Alexandra (who famously wore it as a belt). Queen Mary was also fan before she commissioned her own Fringe Tiara (worn last by Beatrice on her wedding). The Queen Mother was the last to wear it in its necklace setting. Queen Elizabeth II had not worn it, having already the City of London Fringe necklace and Queen Mary’s fringe in her regular rotation of jewels.

    Wonder if we’ll see it come out of the vault during Charles’ reign.
