2. There is a big question still, of exactly what will happen on the big day. Perhaps these strikes are a warning – that Ukraine absolutely will hit the parade, regardless of who’s present, so anybody with common sense will stay at home. Or perhaps they will skip the day and make some other fireworks show.

   Putin would naturally assume any agreement to any kind of truce, even on such a special day, as a sign of weakness, not of mercy. At the same time he’d try to guilt-trip the West into accepting this ridiculous ‘Truce’, even though we know he’d break it before the 72 hours are up. Allowing this truce is just a reload day with an excuse.

   It’s time to stop playing his game. Ukraine isn’t a sucker, and Europe won’t hold Ukraine back like the USA does.
