New road scheme set to improve journey times and connectivity in south west Wales

  1. Sounds promising, better roads could really boost local travel and the economy in the region.

  2. It feels like a long time since this work begun so glad so see it finished. Indeed i’m glad this got through before Drakeford and Waters suspended road building in general. With Ken there i hope we’ll see similar projects green lighted in the coming year, but 5-10 years from now there will be a gap in projects i expect.

  3. I drove to Carmarthen on Thursday with the speed restrictions and odd routing in place, and drove back Sunday with the bypasses fully open. It was wonderful and made a difference of about 15 minutes.

    It’s been done very well, it’s hard to see where the road diverges from where it used to go.

  4. I’m vaguely uninformed here – why does the EU still fund our projects, even though we’re out of the UK.

    It’s very cool and I support the EU, but why do they care?
