Since neither Ukraine nor the US published the agreement, but only the memorandum (this text is a brief general description of some of the points that are allegedly in the agreement), the parliamentarians signed a pig in a poke. Due to the fact that Zelensky openly threatened the parliament with stations from the US against parliamentarians, the parliament unanimously ratified an agreement that it had not even seen. This is the essence of freedom in Ukraine – you cannot ask questions or ask to see what you are being forced to sign. Even if you are a people’s deputy.
The agreement is indefinite and effectively makes Ukraine a lifelong debtor to the US. Ukraine’s only hope now is that after Zelensky’s removal from power, the constitutional court, under the next government, will call him illegitimate and the parliament’s decision illegal (since parliament has not seen the documents). Perhaps this will allow Ukraine to recognize the deal as illegal. But as far as I believe, the West’s control over Ukraine is so great that in such a case, the CIA will stage another coup and overthrow the government, which wants to abandon the deal.
I think for an ordinary citizen of Ukraine, this deal in the long run will be much worse than the invasion of Russia. Because the war will end in a couple of years, and the deal will last for several generations and will have a much greater impact on Ukraine than the war.
