The launch event of the ‘CCI4Change Collaboration Toolkit’ brings together “creatives” and local authorities to tackle the green transition from an innovative angle.
The EU-funded project CCI4Change operates under the premise that artistic and cultural approaches can engage citizens and cause behavioral shifts for reducing energy consumption.
“By piloting novel collaboration models and developing practical resources, CCI4change aims to empower communities in the Baltic Sea region to actively participate in the energy transition – with Latvia, Sweden, and Finland piloting the way,” according to the organizers of the event.
The launch event on May 8 will introduce a practical toolkit developed from the project’s international pilot experiences. It is designed to help other municipalities collaborate with the aforementnioned creatives to boost citizen engagement and develop sustainable solutions.
“This initiative puts Latvia on the European map as a country leading in systemic innovation for sustainability at a time when new governance models and public-civic partnerships are urgently needed,” say the organizers.
The event will start at Jūrmala Central Library at 10:00, and LSM will bring you a livestream of the morning session containing the keynote speeches from 10:00-13:15. The afternoon session will be taken up with workshops.
