Operator from the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine – “I found him on a destroyed playground in [the] Donetsk region. Among rubble, empty swings and silence, a little bear lay. I took him with me. I couldn’t leave him. Since then, he has always been with me, silent, holding on, looking forward.”
I guess speaking both languages I can feel the difference between both.
While in Ukrainian it’s more like – looking in front of you, not bending your head, while in English it’s implied that you are looking in the forward direction.

I absolutely support this soldier in this, and agree with other commenters that this bear belonged to a child whose life has irreversibly been altered for the worse by this monstrous invasion.
But are we really just not going to mention the hard Dementus (Furiosa) vibes here?
This is the sexiest man alive
Only a real warrior fights with a teddy bear on his back
Somber. But I can’t help but have this weird feeling that bro is going to end up as the inspiration for a paid skin in an fps
May he protect you and your comrades. Heroiam Slava
please tell me the bear is named Ted.
At some point we lost track of my son’s bear. When he was eight, he said he missed his bear, Gray, and wondered where he lost him. I told my son that bears are warriors that protect little kids. Gray wasn’t lost. Gray knew his mission was done here and he went off to protect another little boy who really needs him.
I think I found Gray. I can’t wait to tell my son.
Russia used this picture in a propaganda picture too. Fucking sociopaths.
fuck you putin and you minions
you will surely die one way or another
He found his Creasy Bear.
Oh this gave me so many emotions of sadness, anger, joy, fear, and everything else in between. May this soldier make it through to the other side and see an end to this stupid, unprovoked war the Ruzzians started but maybe just maybe the owner of the little bear is still around and may speak up one day that the bear is now to protect all Ukranians fighting for their continued freedom.
SLAVA UKRAINI!
For some reason, I just about started tearing up.
Wish you all the guardian angels of the world. Even if it’s a cuddly toy 🧸.
Beautiful. Just be careful, they booby-trap those.
That man is a total bad ass!

This guy clearly never watched Full Metal Jacket.
It’s Wojtek! He’s returned to duty!
This reminds me of Faith Smith in the Black Tide Rising series and her carrying Trixie with her when fighting the hordes of zombies. Hopefully this operator is as bad in real life as Faith is in the fictional series.
Its sad to think about what he describes
stay safe.
Poke em with a long stick first before you pick one up.

Love the energy, but lets discuss the elephant in the room: That bear is, in fact, not looking forward.
Hope the little guy will watch out for his warrior.
Not looking forward, but he’s definitely got his six.
That bear used to belong to some kid and it just makes me so fucking sad and angry. Hope the previous owner is safe somewhere.
Reminds me of this picture:
