  6. The Pope pushed against Vance’s rhetoric because it has nothing to do with Catholic beliefs or teachings. Vance follows a cult form of Catholicism that has been twisted into US Evangelicalism.

  7. To be fair, a lot of stuff that happens because of Trump is due to a backlash against him. This is one of those things. Same with the elections in Canada and Australia. And tons of US special elections and odd-ball elections, like that Wisconsin Supreme Court election that went to the liberal despite conservatives pouring a ton of money into it. 

    The other thing to keep in mind is that Trump’s minions tried to bribe the Vatican to elect a friendly pope, and, because Trump is a moron, this was an easy way to get the money and pull one over on MAGA.

    But if Trump indeed had such influence over the Cardinals and was able to encourage them to pick a specific individual to become the new Pope as he seems to suggest…

    Why then did he pick a “woke” “DTS suffering” individual whom he hates to be the person he championed to be the new Pope???

    If it wasn’t going to be Trump himself, wouldn’t he be trying to push one of his yes men through so he could control the Church via proxy rather than someone who is going to be highly adversarial on most topics???

  22. The Pope has a yugely bigger following than Trump. Leo offers advice? His followers jump on it. Trump does a thing? Droves of protestors appear outta thin air. Trump will NEVER have such a devoted fan base. He will NEVER be able to ‘win’ an argument with a Pope.

    He will try very hard, tho, at somebody’s expense.

    This imbalanced repartee will be funny, yes, but soon enough, Trump is going to start breaking stuff just to own the Pope and his fan base.

    I’m not saying don’t hold a like with jaundice toddler. Definitely do. Just don’t be surprised when he smacks while he’s talking smack.

Even the Pope, that guy from Chicago, can’t stand Biden, he called us up, with tears in his eyes and said, ‘Sir’, that’s how he calls your favorite president, ‘Sir, can’t you stop all the loud words and hatred from those demon-rats? We pray so much for you, please help us. Save us from those radical leftists.” He has some nice stuff in that Vatican place, we’ll see what gifts he’s sending before we respond won’t we? <Cue applause>
