Submission Statement: Syria has offered Trump a major mineral deal similar to what america negotiated with ukraine. in exchange for sanctions releif. the deal also includes an offer for “Trump Tower Damascus” the two Presidents are expected to meet in Saudi Arabia this week. the Deal is backed by Turkish President Erdogan.

IMO: This is yet another example of now that trump has opened the door on “American Protection for Access” Deals are proving popular with threatened regimes globally, First Ukraine negotiated the original deal with Biden, the Congo offered trump one, now Syria. we don’t know yet what Syria is offering but i would bet its more similar to Ukraine’s then Congo’s. focusing on rebuilding Syria and finding investment capital instead of an out and out protectorate like we see in the Congo.

    It is possible that as these deals get negotiated more nations might turn to them. Taiwan for example is highly exposed and securing trumps support might be valuable.
