Members of Donald Trump‘s cabinet were spotted struggling to stay alert during his long-anticipated speech in Saudi Arabia.
Marco Rubio, the Secretary of State, couldn’t stifle yawns and seemed on the verge of nodding off while Trump spoke following a new economic deal inked with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Saudi Arabia.
Beside Rubio, there sat Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent, who was also caught by the cameras apparently dozing off as the President continued his remarks, reports the Mirror US.

The scene unfolded after officials from the Trump administration and Saudi government swapped “folios” and shook hands to seal multiple agreements as reported by the Associated Press.
These pacts include initiatives to upgrade the Saudi military, collaborate on energy, establish judicial cooperation between the U.S. Justice Ministry and the Saudi judiciary, offer mutual customs assistance, and engage in joint efforts with the Smithsonian Museum and various Saudi entities.
Mohammad A. Abunayyan, chairman of ACWA Power, expressed satisfaction with President Trump’s administration, praising their embrace of the reality of ongoing fossil fuel needs.
Abunayyan said: “We are happy with the President Trump administration because at least they come to reality and reality (is) fossil fuel, we need it forever.”
Abunayyan also highlighted a desire for self-determination without external lectures on right and wrong, which had been experienced in the past.
He explained: “We don’t want people to lecture us, as it has happened in the past – what’s wrong and what’s right,”
He added: “Each country has to decide by its own and no country will come and force you to do something.”
