We are hearing mixed messaging about Pakistani Prime Minister calling a meeting of the National Command Authority which is the top authority uh in Pakistan that is responsible for managing Pakistan’s nuclear assets. It is the body that makes all decisions related to nuclear weapons, whether it’s uh about its uh whether they concern about the movement of the weapons, their storage, their security or their use. The timing of this meeting is very significant as it it’s the first time it takes place at a time when both uh when the when when there are tensions between the both neighboring countries India and Pakistan and these tensions are the highest uh since 1999. Experts believe that this can be seen as a strong message by Pakistan to remind the world that it is a nuclear armed state and if the situation escalates further it will be uh Pak uh the situation will be in unchartered territory. Uh we also just saw the foreign minister of Pakistan uh who on the on a local media on a local TV channel he said that he had a conversation with the with his US with his counterpart in the US the US secretary of state. He said that uh Pakistan has conveyed the message to the US that Pakistan has acted in self-defense and the uh current air offensive was a retaliation to continuous aggression from India uh that has targeted military sides. uh he also said that uh that the ball is now in India’s court and and if India retaliates the ex the escalation will
