The fallout from Prince Harry’s BBC interview continues. On Thursday, Us Weekly reported that the royal family still feels “hurt and betrayed” by the bombshell special, though Prince William took it particularly hard.
“William is more hurt than anything else,” a source close to the Windsors said, adding that the Prince and Princess of Wales “are not giving” Harry and Meghan Markle “the time of day.”

Last week, reports emerged that Harry’s father, King Charles III, “has no reason to reach out” following the interview.
“If Charles had any indication to reach out to Harry—and I haven’t seen any movement in that direction over the past two years—then he certainly has no reason to reach out now,” royal biographer Christopher Andersen told Us Weekly.
Andersen added that “reconciliation” between Harry and Charles “has never seemed so far away.” “If “Harry really wants to reconcile with his family, he has an odd way of showing it. There is just too much bitterness there, too many burned bridges,” he continued.

The author explained that Harry’s comments about Charles’s health were especially damaging to their relationship, as the King is currently receiving cancer treatment.
“Harry delivered the coup de grace when he said he wanted to bury the hatchet with his father because he doesn’t know how much time the King has left to live,” Andersen said. “If you are someone undergoing cancer treatment, to hear those words from your son would, I think, be fairly upsetting. Not exactly a resounding vote of confidence in your choices of making a full recovery.”
