Hi zäme,

I'm new in Switzerland and now that the season for loquat/Mispel has arrived, I was wondering where could one find them in Switzerland, if they're sold at all in any supermarket. I'm from Spain and there you can find them fairly easily in the fresh produce section of most supermarkets in May/June.

It's my favorite fruit and I would love to have the chance to buy them here as well. When I lived in Germany you could find them in some Kauflands for example, has anyone ever seen them at a swiss supermarket?

Merci vielmals!

  1. I’m regularly getting them from Lidl and Aldi these days ☺️

  2. Turkish supermarket 🛒 ask for “yenidünya”

  3. I think you can occasionally find them in the major grocery stores but will likely find them easier/more often at Turkish shops and probably some of the Asian markets if you have them nearby.

  4. I usually buy them at our local fruit/veggies stand, check your local (outside) stands/markets.

  5. Farmer’s markets, they are very common in Italy so maybe try an Italian’s produce stand
