I mean I am not a big fan of icecream (I have egg intolerance and many a time had eaten icecream with eggs as a child unknowingly and gotten sick). Also not a big fan of overly sweet icecreams. This one here is soooooooo delicious. Egg free but also not so sugary. Very rich and tastes so natural? Dont know how to explain but I think I found my forever summer treat

Mackies is the best also nice to support British farmers 🙂
I love this one too. A good price considering how much you get and how good it is. 10/10
Is the cow taking that lady’s apron off? What devilry is this?
Try the honeycomb flavour
It’s lovely ain’t it, we found it in Tesco last summer
I did a Google of “best UK supermarket icecream” a few years ago and Mackies came out on top, been buying it ever since and like another commentator has said it’s great value. I’d also give an honourable mention to the recent Aldi clone that comes in a similar tub.
The chocolate is nice too
There was an Inside the Factory on them.
I only made the connection in the last couple of days that this is the same Mackies who make the crisps, and the chocolate
Maybe not for you but the toffee fudge is absolutely sensational. Reason I say maybe not for you is it’s very sweet.
With a hot chocolate brownie this is god tier
I have this with some fudge flavouring added, its like sweet crack
I’ve just managed to grab the last tub from my co-op, the shelf has been bare all week, damn those bastard hackers for interfering with my mackies pleasure!!!
Wonderful wonderful wonderful stuff.
They have an Ice Cream Parlour in Abedeen if you fancy a holiday [Mackie’s 19.2 Ice Cream Parlour in Aberdeen | Mackie’s of Scotland](https://www.mackies.co.uk/ice-cream/parlour/)
I used to eat this growing up with my grandparents in Scotland ah good memories. Not had this stuff in years.
Mackies make some Waitrose own label ice creams
Me neither, it is surprisingly good and reasonably priced. I was looking for a big tub of ice cream for a recipe last year and this popped up, never heard of them before, i didnt see anything objectionable and ordered it. Very nice.
As with everyone else, try the honeycomb.
Do you still need a wrist of iron to help scoop it out or is it softer now? I haven’t had it in year, but it is delicious
The raspberry ripple one is god tier!
Try Taylors of Biggar ice cream if you’re ever
that way in Scotland.
I crush up maltesers and put them on top 😋
I’ve just had a 2L tub delivered by Tesco’s and my eyes are open. It’s so creamy, can’t wait for milkshakes tomorrow
Try the honeycomb flavour.
If you’re ever in farmfoods, they usually have a 2L tub at a good price. It’s been a while since I last got it from there so not sure if it’s the same price. I grew up with it and it’s definitely a firm favourite!
Because we don’t like to let it out of Scotland
But it does have eggs in it? Unless Tesco website is lying to me?!
Not sure if it is this specific brand but try the clotted cream flavour. Over indulged in that in Fort William, is so good
Bloody love this stuff. Always a bit miffed that the chocolate one doesn’t seem to be available around where I live.
