Went there recently after a few years. Thought post-closure it would be different and it’s still the same old fun, grotty place. Far less busy when I was there though.
I remember when it was the go-to place after a night out in Hackney, due to being open the latest. You could slip the bouncer a fiver and skip the long queue.
Often a mixed crowd, some scary, some nice.

Gotta say i scrolled by and thought “oh great a photo of a random pub” but i recognised it, it was the maddest fucking pub i’ve ever been to. great stuff.

Man, I loved it 10-15 years ago. Absolute slaughterhouse. Went every weekend.
I once stuffed my smaller… wallet down my pants when lining up to get in. Then once in, went to the bathroom to retrieve and sample the food inside and couldn’t find the wallet… so ended up taking my pants completely off in the search… to then be walked in on by a guy because I didn’t lock the door 😅 legendary place

Was there during a thunderstorm and part of the ceiling collapsed and water started coming in, they just put buckets down and people danced around them.

Used to live on mare street. This plus the dirtiest pizza from Carolina’s was absolutely the pinnacle of my scrotey behaviour. Once saw a guy eating from a can of cat food on the dance floor in there

Good spot but racist was told once by security they dont like having too many black people in there thats why i wasn’t accepted
I have two memories of the Dolphin the first is me asking what time they closed and being told that happened 3 hours ago.
The second is one of the handsomest men I’ve ever seen telling me I can do anything I want to him if I have some heroin. I did not have heroin.
