Currently sitting in a hotel in yarmouth having cycled from Clacton yesterday. Off via the coast road to kings Lynn today. Looks like it’s gonna be another windy and wild one. Hey ho can’t do much about weather. Have a great day everyone
Work this morning with a bunch of unhinged teenagers working on one of our nature reserves, then band practice and shopping this afternoon
Heading to work in a moment. Get home and study for a bit. Maybe a bit of gardening and then settle in for Eurovision. Eurovision will be what pulls me through. Love it.
Just hoping the weather is going to be nice and have a potter around.
Today is my wife’s birthday. We’re going for a picnic in the New Forest, followed by a boat trip on the Beaulieu River, with the kids.
It’s meant to be a sunny day today, although, it’s looking cloudy right now – hopefully it’ll clear up in a bit.
Well, I’d better go and make her a cup of tea and take her presents and cards up.
I’m considering taking my kids and the canoe to Yalding.
We’ve got viewings on our house today -open day. I believe 10-12 people are coming. Fingers crossed. We’ve found a property we love but offer not yet accepted as we haven’t sold.
Today, I shall be slow cooking the official recipe for Ragù alla Bolognese. Made it before and it’s amazing (use a dry white wine in it, not red)
Aside from that, making a pineapple cordial and trying not to think about looking for a new job.
Going to mum’s later so the resident tech man (my husband) can show her how to use her phone again. It’s been a week of her thinking she’s been scammed and someone has stolen her credit…..turns out she’d somehow turned her mobile data on….
After that a trip around a few graveyards to take some more photos for my upcoming side project.
Then veg on the sofa with jerk chicken and watch U.S Marshalls.
Rugby presentation evening, I’m a coach and need to finish my speech. My daughter is in the team.
Then I drive to Luton, flying to Prague at 0700 for laser eye surgery. Going to be a long old day with a 4h drive starting at 2000
Day 3 in Kraków. Thankfully there has been more sunshine and less rain than I anticipated, so we’re walking almost everywhere. It turns out that my comfortable trainers aren’t so comfortable when you’re in them for 10+ miles a day but hey ho.
Tonight we’re going for a tasting menu.
A wedding in Shrewsbury. My 75 year old uncle is marrying his 40 year old wife….
Another thing, who gets married on fa cup final / Eurovision / Dr who day?
Gonna cycle to see my mate who’s just returned from Greece, a spot of food shopping and the FA cup final this afternoon!
Trip to the shops to get remaining ingredients to make some cheese and bacon scones and then round to brother in laws for a cuppa and a croissant.
I might have time to start sorting my CDs into better storage, see how the day takes us.
Off to RHS Wisley for some garden inspiration and stretch out after my final surveying exam this week
Rehearsals for my amateur production of STOMP started a couple hours ago.
Already various neighbours are looking out their window (admiringly, I think). Trash can lids are quite loud!
Meeting a friend who’s a junior/resident doctor for coffee later this morning. Last time we met up he was about to do his entrance exam for speciality training and he’d applied for psychiatry and general practice. So I’ll get to find out how he did!
Helping out at a presentation afternoon/evening today. Will probably result in a few pints later, but it depends how busy it is. Got to get the £££ in ahead of the new season.
After an almighty crash that resulted in two days in bed, I was wide awake at 5:50am. Unfortunately, during the crash, I cancelled all my weekend plans, so I have no idea what to do with myself.
Going to try to get outside a bit, enjoy the sunshine while it lasts. There is a farmer’s market tomorrow that is technically within walking distance for me, but I will have to see if my legs are working before I decide to go. It’s nice to feel like it is an option, yesterday I could barely walk around the flat.

Then this evening I’m off to see Benji Waterhouse as part of his book tour for the paperback release of his book [**You Don’t Have to be Mad to Work Here**](https://www.penguin.co.uk/books/442889/you-dont-have-to-be-mad-to-work-here-by-waterhouse-benji/9781529933420). I read it last year when I picked it up for a couple of quid as an ebook last summer and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Work.
