A couple of months ago I started working on little project called the Russian deck of 52 which represents 52 of the worst people of the Russian regime. It's kind of based on the real life deck from the Iraq war but also the North Korean deck from Mercenaries: POD.

The layout you see is probably not the final design, but I'd like to fill up the cards first.

I also categorized them like this:

Spades: Siloviki & High Ranking officials

Ace is of course Putin and others include Igor Sechin and Alexander Bortnikov

Diamonds: War criminals & Ukrainian traitors

The ace is the Buther of Bucha and other are like the ones on Top cargo 200.

Hearts: Commanding Generals & high-ranking officers.

Clubs: Propagandists & state sponsored businessmen

I'm currently done with the Spades and nearly completed the Diamonds, but I'd like some recommendations on who would fit in the list of the hearts and clubs. I have a few ideas, but not enough to fill it completely. For the hearts I think of the highest ones to be the commanding generals or admirals for each military branch like the army, navy, airforce, and special forces.

If you know an animal that would be right to fit on the card, I'd be happy to know.

  1. I would recommend, to leave the propaganda moves to the Russians. Especially the not so well executed ones.

    Disclaimer: I don’t know all of them, the ones I know I have zero sympathy for, likely most of them deserve to be locked up, not just for what they did to Ukraine, but also to other countries, including their own cleptocracy. The ones who maybe didn’t break any laws still foster a regime, that males this world a worse place.

    But: Why mentioning international law institutions on the same sheet with your dead or alive claim? If you stick with the second, leave the first one away. Otherwise it sounds like a weird mix of claiming moral/ judical high ground (without the backing of those institution, as long as not all of your “animals” are factually on their list) and some kind of a puberty Wild West cowboy fantasy.

    You can wish for whatever you want and illustrate it however. But if you really want to do more than a imaginary show of force, try to be consistent if you go public with it. I’m at least not convinced.

    If you still want to improve it, maybe you want to put a accusation under each picture. Then it’s maybe more a kind of fact based information from my POV. For example the Mayor of Moscow: is he just on your dead or alive list for being a Mayor, or what brought him there? If Russians would publish a set of cards like that, including Mayors of big Ukrainian cities, we would also call it BS propaganda without further explanation, or?

    Random rusnyan alcoholic = an ace. Representing the people of rusnya that turned out to be the strongest ace rusnya has.

    Explanation – the way people did not protest the shit out of it and everyone just went along with it.. can you even call them people? Because mindlessness is a hallmark of a zombie..
