  7. Good fucking luck! I’ve not had a copy of mine or access to one since I left home. I’m 35 and I don’t think I’ve ever been asked for it. Presumably someone somewhere has a copy?

  9. Whats more shocking about this story is that Doctors and Nurses are so badly trained that they need to see a birth certificate to know if someone was a man or woman (that was a joke, incase people with no funny bone reads this)

    Edit: This is absolutely stupid btw, who the fuck turns up to hospital with their birth certificate? “Wait a moment baby, I know you’ve been stabbed but we need to prove you’re a woman first”

    Birth certs do not have a photo on them

    People can have a name change

    A GRC works by providing a new birth certificate

    It is a criminal offense to ask someone if they have a GRC or to tell anyone else that they do if you find out

    The EHRC is blatantly telling orgs to break the law. All women are going to be harassed/policed/pressured in the name of transphobia. Better make sure you look feminine enough to be allowed into womens spaces without harassment.

    To top it all off, they explicitly say its okay for cis boys to go into the womens, that that doesn’t make it mixed sex. Because they’re “not a threat”. Explicitly implying that trans girls are a threat.

  14. Ok, make them free to obtain and provide them via an app.

    If you make proving your gender such an important faset of life that you will be blocked from basic amenities because of it, then at a minimum the above is needed.

  18. I can see why gender might be important for a couple of reasons, medically it’s important and for some security scenarios perhaps but WTF would a gym need to know your gender? I really do feel for anyone who is trans right now, it’s utter madness.

  20. What a great use of our time, im glad our government has focused on useful things. Why help people out of poverty when we can make life as miserable as possible for a small minority group just for fun
