1. How can you be a lifeguard/staff and only be qualified in surface-rescues ? And on top of that 999 wasn’t called for 27 minutes.

   Whole place needs to be shut down and a multimillion pound payout to the family is due, multiple people also need to go to prison.

2. I have been to Liquid Leisure on multiple occasions and a bit more detail about this story that this article has missed out, from information I have gathered from the staff. Don’t take this as fact but multiple sources said the same thing.

   The girl was not there with her parents as she was brought to the site by another parent of one of the girl’s friends.

   She did not know how to swim!

   She was not wearing a lift jacket that is required if you are a poor swimmer.

   Yes there were some failings on Liquid Leisure’s part but this should not have happened in the first place if the people responsible of the child were being responsible and made her wear the life jacket, as required by the sites rules posted at the entrance to the site.

3. No risk assessment for a water park?! How is that even legal?

4. Where was she from? Did she speak English? Maybe she didn’t understand the signs and instructions.
