Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi, Foreign Minister, held a meeting in Chisinau with Moldova’s honorary consul in Denmark and representatives of the European Movement in Denmark, where they discussed support for the country’s European integration and the development of economic cooperation, IPN reports.

Mihai Popsoi emphasized the excellent relations between the two countries and recalled his recent visit to Copenhagen, where he had a meeting with the Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen. The Deputy Prime Minister said that “we look to the future with great optimism and, in the light of the strong partnership we have with Denmark, we hope to make steady progress in our EU accession process”.

The representatives of the European Movement showed interest in domestic developments in the Republic of Moldova, with a focus on areas that could attract Danish investment. The meeting also discussed expanding cooperation in the cultural and educational fields, as well as the mutual promotion of tourism. The Moldovan minister said that “there are real opportunities that are worth exploring and capitalizing on for the benefit of both sides”.
