Turkey’s Erdogan says he has ‘no interest in being re-elected’

2. He didn’t say he wasn’t “interested”, he said he wasn’t “troubled” with getting re-elected. Anyone who has spent enough time following TR politics would realize that his words suggest he would keep warping the political atmosphere (through further bullshit arrests or even appointing a trustee to CHP) such that he would be able to call an early election, facing an opponent that he would be able to beat. Unfortunately he will keep pushing his chances as long as he has the backing of US/EU just as he had for the last 23 years.

3. Hopefully, the people of Turkey will “remove” him from office sooner than later.

   Erdogan has done horrible horrible things, he will be judged eventually.

   How many more Kurds must die for him to be satisfied?
