Just one week later, the newlyweds celebrated their union in the Saint Trophyme church in Bormes-les-Mimosas, for which Alexandra donned a custom Ellie Saab satin gown paired with the Luxembourg Chaumet Choker Tiara, an extraordinary piece that can be worn either as a necklace or as a headpiece. The bride, alongside her new husband, looked radiant as the couple drove away from the ceremony Hollywood-style, in a white convertible festooned with flowers.
Later that same year, Alexandra and Nicolas shared the happy news that they were expecting their first child – a daughter, Victoire, whose birth was announced on 14 May 2024. Ninth in line to the Luxembourg throne and the Grand Duke and Duchess’ eighth grandchild, Victoire’s childhood has been kept relatively private so far. However, she made her public debut at just two months old, appearing alongside her parents at last year’s Paris Olympics. Just glimpsed in a baby carrier, in which she was shaded from the sun by a white muslin, she appeared to be doted upon by Alexandra and Nicolas, who were in the city to support the Luxembourg team.
