I’m no royalist, but I do wish the Yanks would get this right. There has been no Queen of England for a jolly long time. But it is a true incident – at Balmoral, I think.
I mean after seeing how women drive first hand I doubt his mind was changed with this encounter.
Bit of missing context – It’s well known that the Queen in addition to her training during the war as a truck mechanic and driver also had military grade training in regards to high speed, off road, evasive style driving in the event she ever needed to escape from a dangerous situation. She didn’t just chauffeur the guy around, she battered along country roads in a land rover with King Abdullah in the back begging through a translator for her to slow down.
